Russ Douglass is a student at Texas Tech University studying creative media industries with a minor in political science. A Lubbock native, he aspires to be a documentary filmmaker, wanting to share the stories of people from all walks of life and how socioeconomic and geopolitical issues affect them. For now, he is cutting his teeth in both still photography and video.
Russ is a veteran of the U.S. armed forces, having served six years in the Air Force as an intelligence analyst. While serving, he was stationed in Nebraska, California, and Texas. He deployed three times to the Middle East and Europe, earning two Air and Space Achievement Medals.
Outside of photography, Russ enjoys playing tennis, traveling, and cheering for the Red Raiders, San Antonio Spurs, and Kansas City Chiefs.
